Global Advocates for the Youth Unite With Sport Court at Las Vegas Meetings April 14-16

Sport Court Is Big Player in the Tiger Street Football Tournament in Asia

This first-ever event kicks off with regional games April 16-17 in the Tiger Football Stadium in Ngee Ann City in the heart of Singapore’s shopping district. Regional play will continue on Sport Court surfaces, including the Grand Finals in September in Kuala Lumpur.

Sport Court Awarded ISO 14001 Certification

POSTED ON 10/27/10 | Connor Sport Court International’s Environmental Management System has been awarded ISO 14001:2004 certification by an independent third party auditor, the company announced today. “ISO 14001:2004 registration means the company has created and has had approved an Environmental Management System which enables Sport Court to identify and control the environmental impact of its activities, products and services, and to improve these practices continually,” said Ron Cerny, President and CEO. ISO stands for International Organization for Standardization and is a network of the national standards of 163 countries.

Connor Sport Court Nominated for the “Utah Green Business Award”

POSTED ON 10/19/10 | Connor Sport Court International, the Salt Lake City based maker of sports surfaces, has been nominated for the “Green Business Awards” of Utah Business Magazine. The nomination was made by McGillis School’s Matt Culberson, head of the school, which opened for school September 1 after extensive renovation, including hardwood Connor Floors inside the gymnasium and a Sport Court game court outside. The nominating letter reads, in part: As a result of our extensive renovation the past two years, the McGillis School of Salt Lake City would like to nominate Utah’s Connor Sport Court International for your Green Business awards.

Latest Video Tells of Sport Court’s Importance To Volleyball

POSTED ON 10/13/10 | Sport Court is now in its 21st year of being the official surface for USA Volleyball, said Ron Cerny, President and CEO of Connor Sport Court International, parent company of Sport Court, based in Salt Lake City. “In addition, we have been the only surface used for the NCAA Volleyball Championships since 1993” The video explains how volleyball experienced tremendous growth once Sport Court demonstrated that its court surfaces provided ideal performance as well as ease-of-use. Prior to Sport Court’s appearance on the volleyball scene, championships had to be divided among many venues in a community, with basketball courts being re-striped to accommodate the sport.

Sport Court to Install Four Dodgeball Courts for the DodgeBarrage Charity Tournament

Sport Court Becomes an Official FIVB Development Partner at 32nd World Congress in Rome, Italy

POSTED ON 9/8/10 | Sport Court® will become an official Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) Partner in Development at a signing ceremony on Wednesday, September 8th at the 2010 World Congress in Rome, Italy. “The FIVB Development Fund was established to satisfy the needs of less developed national federations with projects and to assist the FIVB Continental Confederations with their development priorities,” said Mr Jizhong Wei, President of FIVB. “The support offered by FIVB and its partners, such as Sport Court allows developing countries to receive qualified instructors, manuals and volleyball equipment, many of which are things these countries would never have the means to provide for themselves.

The Manifest Foundation to Give At-Risk Youth a Chance to Play with NBA Greats on Sport Court basketball court

POSTED ON 9/7/10 | The Manifest Foundation will give local at-risk youth the chance of a lifetime April 14 when it hosts “Hoops & Hugs,” a mini basketball camp with former Chicago Bulls coach Michael Brown and the NBA’s first female head coach, Nancy Lieberman. Almost 30 children and teens who are on Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada’s waiting list and from The Embracing Project will learn from and be mentored by two of basketball’s greats during the two-hour event. “Hoops & Hugs” participants will play on a specially constructed DreamCourt, a Manifest Foundation/Nancy Lieberman Foundation basketball court provided by Connor Sport Court International.
