POSTED ON 12/2/10 | It’s that time of year again: The 2010 National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Women’s Volleyball Championships are moving into full swing on playing surfaces supplied by Sport Court®. The Division III playoffs at Washington University-St. Louis on Nov. 22 saw Calvin College of Grand Rapids, Michigan, defeat Emory University of Atlanta in the finals held for the first time ever on Sport Court’s new Response HG™ surface with revolutionary SportGuard™ surface technology. The playing area featured the look of real wood thanks to Sport Court’s Maple Select surface and a royal blue border, both with the new high gloss finish.
Division II games will be played Dec. 2-4 during the Division II National Championships Festival hosted by Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to the women’s volleyball championships, this gala sports event will also include men’s and women’s crosscountry; women’s field hockey; and men’s and women’s soccer. The Division II competition will also be held on Sport Court’s Response HG™ Maple Select surface.
Division I championship games will be played Dec 16-18 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri, hosted by the University of Missouri, Kansas City and the Kansas City Sports Commission.
Regional playoffs for Division I will be Dec. 10 and 11 at Gregory Gymnasium at the University of Texas, Austin; in Dayton, Ohio at the University of Dayton Arena; in Seattle at the Hec Edmunds Pavilion at the University of Washington, Seattle; and at University Park, Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Regional Rec Hall, Pennsylvania State University.
For the 18th consecutive year, NCAA volleyball championships will again be contested on Sport Court® playing surfaces. Sport Court will provide more than 50,000 square feet of performance flooring for all three divisions.

In what has become a long-standing tradition, at the conclusion of the championship, each member of the championship team will receive a piece of the competition floor in commemoration of their team’s victory. In many ways, it is a tradition similar to the net-cutting ceremony at the end of the basketball championships.
