POSTED ON 4/18/11 | Connor Sport Court Provides Gymnasium for ABC Television’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” Last night’s ABC Television show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, featured a gymnasium floor provided by Connor Sport Court International (CSCI).
The house was built from the ground up for Carl Hall and his family. Hall, a former Wichita State University baseball star, was paralyzed from the neck down after a traffic crash in Kingman County, Kansas, in June, 2010.
Hall, who was Missouri Valley Player of the Year in 1994, had been living with his wife and four children in a bi-level house in West Wichita but had to move since it wasn’t suitable for a wheelchair. They had been living in a rented two-bedroom duplex with a converted garage.
Connor Sport Court, with headquarters in Salt Lake City, provided the new house with sports flooring, a wall mounted hoop system, wall trim, labor to install the surface, as well as multiple accessories.
“We were glad to be invited to join the Wichita community and Extreme Home Makeover: Home Edition, in honoring Carl Hall. His courage and indomitable spirit, despite incredible personal challenges, is something to be admired by everyone,” said Ron Cerny, President and CEO of Connor Sport Court International.
Sport Court team members from Kansas, Missouri, and Utah contributed to the success of the project, including James Burdett from Salt Lake City; Tim Green, Mike Brunsky and Craig Sherman, all of Kansas.
