When more than15,000 girls volleyball players ages 12 to 18 descend  on the Minneapolis Convention Center this week for the 2014 USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships (GJNC) they will see a room full of over 70 volleyball courts, all Sport Court® volleyball gym flooring. The room will also include three limited edition pink courts, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Sport Court and of Title IX.

"Sport Court has been the Official Sports Flooring partner to USA Volleyball since 1989," Doug Beal, USA Volleyball. "Sport Court transformed the sport of volleyball to allow major tournaments in convention centers on multiple courts."

The reason Sport Court volleyball courts are so unique is it can be quickly installed and removed, allowing USA Volleyball to put over 225,000 sqft of sports event flooring in one convention center for a week long period. Sport Court, with it's patented lateral forgiveness, has also provided the sport gains in the area of decreased injury, exponential increases in general participation and exposure to college coaches for top players. The 2014 GNJC will attract hundreds of college coaches searching for the top volleyball players in the nation.

"We are extremely pleased to have played a major role in the growth of women’s sport since Title IX was signed into law 40 years ago," said Ron Cerny, CEO, Connor Sport Court International. "In commemoration of that landmark legislation, there will be two special pink floors that will serve as the championship courts for the USA Volleyball Girls’ National Championship in Minneapolis.”
