Plano, TX – Oct. 28, 2014 – The WorldVentures Foundation™, the philanthropic arm of WorldVentures™, Nancy Lieberman Foundation and Sport Court International teamed up today for the opening of Chicago’s first DreamCourt at the Morgan Park Boys & Girls Club. The opening ceremony unveiled a state-of-the-art basketball court funded by the WorldVentures Foundation, Nancy Lieberman Foundation and Sport Court.

“I am very excited that we’re expanding the DreamCourts program and have been able to build our newest one in Chicago,” Hall-of-Famer and WNBA star Nancy Lieberman said. “This DreamCourt is sure to impact the next generation and ensure they have the tools to succeed athletically and personally.”

The Nancy Lieberman Foundation partners with the WorldVentures Foundation to build DreamCourts in underserved communities around the country. The goal of the DreamCourts program is to provide children with a safe area to play, participate in free basketball clinics, interact socially and learn important lessons about teamwork and good sportsmanship. Since 2010, Lieberman and the WorldVentures Foundation have joined forces to build high-quality basketball courts for children in cities that include Denver, Atlanta, Austin and Nashville.

“Building this DreamCourt as our 13th in only four years is a great achievement,” WorldVentures Foundation Executive Director Gwyneth Lloyd said. “The WorldVentures Foundation is proud to be a part of this effort, and we look forward to seeing the young lives that will be touched by this court.”

As the program’s newest DreamCourt, youth in Chicago will be able to play on a 35’ x 60’ court that was constructed using the Sport Court SportGame high-performance safety surface in bright blue and orange colors.

“We are extremely proud to join in this endeavor for the Morgan Park Boys & Girls Club,” Sport Court Director of Distribution Sales Joe Ure said. “Our goal is to provide kids the safest and best outdoor basketball courts, and eventually outdoor basketball can become a game played on modular surfaces that can be both physically appealing and safe for athletes.”
