Sport Court® is the Official Court Supplier for the 2016 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship, including the national semifinals and final, December 15 & 17 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, OH.

Leading up to the Columbus installation, Sport Court’s turn-key, customer-focused Events Department was issued a challenge by the NCAA. The NCAA held the Division I Women's Volleyball regionals at four campus sites that were not determined until after the first and second round play concluded on December 3. After the announcement of the sites, Sport Court’ Events Department was tasked with coordinating shipping logistics, collaborating with school facility representatives and the NCAA to install the Regional courts in time for matches.

The non-predetermined sites created a significant test for Sport Court. The Sport Court Events Department rose quickly to the challenge and nimbly executed an elaborate, contingency-driven operational plan to travel to the four regional sites and execute the court installation to ensure maximum competition surface quality for the student-athletes.

“Sport Court is pleased to again provide the Official Court for the NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championships,” said Andrew Campbell, Director of Events, Connor Sport Court International. “Our team was able to effectively respond to the announcement of the regional venues and meet the NCAA needs to install and service volleyball courts at four sites across the U.S.”

With regional matches under their belt, the Sport Court Events Department is now focusing on the Championship semifinal and final site court installation. The custom Championship court Columbus will feature a striking blend of deep blue and bright red coloring with speed-inspired action accents on Sport Court’s premium Maple Select® surface.  A fun-sized replica of the court will be set-up in the Nationwide Arena concourse so fans can enjoy the same surface as the NCAA student-athletes.

Sport Court has been the Official Court Supplier of the NCAA for more than 20 years. The Sport Court Events Department provides the official courts for all levels of the NCAA Volleyball Championships representing more than 50,000 square feet of surfaces including Division I, Division II and all Division III championship competition.

“Sport Court did a tremendous job of working through logistics with the four non-predetermined Regional sites,” said Kristin Fasbender, NCAA director of championships and alliances.  “Our goal is always to provide our student-athletes with a great championship experience and partnering with Sport Court, the student-athletes know that when they step onto the court at regionals and finals they are one step closer towards a national championship.
