At Sport Court one of our motos is to support "Where Champions Play". This week we met a kid who embodies this message and thanks to the The Ellen Show were able to reward his extraordinary spirit by surprising him with a new Sport Court basketball court for his backyard!

Ezra French, was born with one finger on his left hand and an unformed left leg. He underwent several surgeries to gain mobility and today, 9-year-old Ezra uses a prosthetic leg to pursue his love of sports. He was captain of his undefeated summer league basketball team and at the  National Junior Disability Championships in July, he set national track and field records in 7 divisions. His ultimate goal is to someday compete in the Paralympics and Olympic games. This year he was a finalist for Sports Illustrated SportsKid of the Year and he hopes to continue inspiring kids around the globe.

His moto is simple..."anything is possible if you go out and try" and thanks to his elementary school PE coach he lives life determined to "finish well".

See today's story on The Ellen Show and his reaction when Ellen told him he was getting a new Sport Court backyard court.

Here is what the great team at The Ellen Show had to say: "When Ellen’s friends at Sport Court heard about what an incredible athlete Ezra Frech was and wanted to give him the best high-performance safety surface available for his backyard. They also gave him the ultimate adjustable hoop system to practice like a champion! Sport Court — the World’s Largest Court builder -- provides safe and high-performance play spaces for any backyard! For 40 years, Sport Court has been building backyard courts and champions!"

"Our Courts for Communities team is thrilled to provide Ezra a professional sports surface so he can work to reach his Olympic dreams," said Brandi Connolly, director of Sport Court Courts for Communities. "We hope kids everywhere are inspired by Ezra's determination and keep pushing themselves to be great members of the community and great champions of sport."

Special thanks to Sport Court of Southern California for overseeing this project and making a kids dreams come true!
